Services for the Business Community
Qualified Applicants:
The Center has qualified, prescreened applicants who are ready to work in a variety of fields. Appropriate referrals are provided to employers at no cost. UNO TRAC staff provide assistance to employees transitioning into the job, as well as follow-up services.
Job Accommodation:
The Center works with employers and individuals with disabilities to come up with the best solutions for accommodations on the job. UNO TRAC staff can go on site to assess job modifications and assistive technology. To ensure long-term success, UNO TRAC staff can provide training and troubleshoot technology problems. Fees vary depending on service.
Customized Training and Consulting Services:
UNO TRAC staff offer disability awareness training and consulting services for businesses. Managers as well as frontline receptionists, can benefit from learning how to communicate better with persons with disabilities. The training helps staff understand how to interview persons with disabilities effectively and avoid illegal questions. These workshops also help to make staff more comfortable around a new co-worker or customer with a disability. A workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of a particular business. Fees vary depending on the length of the training.
